Leading the way in the Australian gin movement, Settler’s Spirits has boldly pulled ahead of the pack by signing on as a sponsor of the 2020 Santos Tour Down Under. In an exciting move, Settlers will present the DeTours program at the 2020 Santos Tour Down Under event.
This world-class event and our handcrafted gin brand share much in common. Both South Australian born and bred, with roots in the stunning McLaren Vale region, and are celebrated internationally. Cycling has long been in owner Rowland's blood, as his father Cyril Short was a talented and competitive cyclist in the 1940's known as the King of the Mountains, and his mother Zeta Williams, was the first woman chair of the South Australian League of Wheelmen. It was this affinity with the sport and these collision of synergies that lead Settlers to join the Santos Tour Down Under team and ride tandem!

The DeTours program is offered on Stage, 1, 2 and 6 of the event and is usually a sell out ticket. A unique way to experience both the excitement of the race and the region that it journeys through, DeTours brings friends, food, wine and now Settlers Spirits gin together as part of the Santos Tour Down Under overall program, and is a full day of action filled with tastings, behind-the-scenes experiences of the race, and scrumptious food all complimented by with fantastic viewing of the race!
The DeTours program will visit the Settlers Spirits distillery Door on Jan 26th - the final stage of the Santos Tour Down Under. Particpants will be treated to a presonalised gin flight experience.
